" The award winning IEPBID (Industrial Estate Partnership Business Improvement District) project in Bolton is recognised as one of the most innovative crime reduction schemes in the country.
The project covers 8 industrial estates over a radius of 15Kms,and is a fully integrated scheme which consists of street CCTV, paged alarms and mobile patrols.
The CCTV represents the core of the system and is vital to its overall success however in the planning stages the costs of the hard wiring were far in excess of the budget so a new innovative approach was needed.
In conjunction with our partners and Titan VMS the use of an IP based wireless system was developed. The system, designed and proposed by Visual Management Systems was not only within budget but the benefits such as ease of installation, flexibility, on line engineering with in house software design made this the only sensible choice.
